BUYINGHow do I buy a season ticket? Either call the Edinburgh Rugby ticket office on 0131 346 5180 or visit www.scottishrugbytickets.com You can also buy in person at the Ticket office or by post to Murrayfield (with the necessary paperwork). If I want to sit with my friends, how do I buy? The best way to ensure you get exactly what you want is to book over the phone. Extra staff are being taken on to cope with the demand over the sales period and our staff are well trained to provide you with all that you need. If you are making postal applications and you want to sit together – please ensure you provide FULL information on all season ticket holders (email, name, address, age). You will also need to ensure that these applications are made at the same time MATCH DAYWhat time will kick off be in 2008? In 2008/9 Edinburgh Rugby Club home games will kick off at 7.30pm on a Friday night unless dictated to by TV schedules (or other outside factors). Our recent survey showed that our supporters were fully behind the current playing day and time, with 98% of respondents stating that they would watch on a Friday night, and the time being the preference for over 80% of respondents. When will we know our fixtures? Of course we are dependent on the Competition rules, but it is likely that fixtures will be announced in June 2008. Which stand will we be using on match day? As part of last questionnaire –we asked supporters to let us know their opinion on which stand to open. The feedback was in favour of staying in the West Stand with supporters voting almost 2 to 1 over the East Stand. We have grand plans to try to grow the crowds over the summer and (depending on how those plans go), we may look to open the East Stand for certain games. Season Ticket holders will be able to sit in this stand (unallocated) if it is opened. Need to check that this is possible – with Andy, with ERC, with stadium. Is there plenty of car parking near by? There is plenty of on street parking on or near the stadium but the only public access to the official car park is for season ticket holders. What time do the turnstiles open? The turnstiles open one and half hours before the publicized kick off times. I am disabled, is there a disabled section? There is a designated area for wheelchair disabled in the Main Stand which can accommodate 34 wheelchair users and carers. Depending on the nature of your disability we will advise you on what would be the most suitable area of the stadium for you to be seated in. SEATINGWhere will my season ticket allow me to sit? As an improvement on 2007/8 we now have both allocated and unallocated areas. As a season ticket holder you will have the choice of which area to purchase (all match ticket sales will be unallocated). The bulk of the stadium will remain unallocated, but we have set aside Blocks 19, and 21 to be allocated seating. This has changed from the 2007/8 season where Blocks 17 and 19 were reserved (by area only). The change will mean that your seat will be allocated to you specifically. We aim to ensure the stewards manage the area well – but if all else fails you will have your season ticket to move “unwanted guests” on (with a steward’s support). Note – allocated season ticket holders are able to sit in any unallocated area should they choose to bring their friends along. This allocated area may grow dependent on the sales we achieve. Why is there allocated seating now? After consulting with our supporters, we have implemented allocated seating. Can I choose my own seat? You are able to select a seat online or over the phone. All other season tickets will be allocated on a 'best available' at time of purchasing policy. For advice on where to sit, please call the Ticket office (0131 346 5180) now. PRICINGWhat price will I pay for my season ticket? Our headline season ticket price has remained the same (despite an increase in some of our match day prices), whilst there has been an increase in the concession price, and a reduction in the Junior price. Is there an Early Bird deadline? We feel that the season tickets value is a great one, and as such have not implemented an Early Bird discount. We are however encouraging supporters to join as early as possible. Those who join before May 31st will be invited to a pre season event with the players in June. Do I have to pay the whole amount up front for my Season ticket? Yes payment in full by Credit/Debit Card, cheque or Cash is required when booking your season ticket. Can I buy a season car park pass? No – Parking facilities are only available to season ticket holders. Why has the Concession season ticket price increased? Edinburgh Rugby wants to be seen as a great value for money Club that provides value for all who are involved in it. At the same time, we need to grow our income streams to ensure we can provide Andy with the team that he wants. We undertook a review of prices in the market place, and found that we were well placed in the majority of ticket prices (Priced at a better value than our competitors). Concession tickets were however well below the market rate (for example – the Magners League average concession price was above £10). Subsequently we increased the concession match ticket price from £5 to £10. The Season Ticket price gives a season ticket holder a 5 game saving (as opposed to paying full price for all tickets) – so this is definitely the way to go!!! What about if I am already a concessionary season ticket holder? We have implemented a Step price increase for those concessionary season ticket holders whose ticket price has increased (from £50-£80). If you are a 2007/8 concession season ticket holder and you qualify for a 2008/9 concession season ticket – you will receive a £15 discount on the 2008/9 price (for one year only). Please call the Ticket office to book your season ticket (0131 346 5180). Why has the Junior season ticket price decreased? The future of any Club is its younger members. Edinburgh Rugby Club has a smaller section of junior supporters than we would like. We believe that Rugby is a family sport and that Murrayfield is a stadium that can cater for a great day out for the family. We therefore will be targeting new families to join the Club. As such we felt it would make sense to offer a reduced price to Junior members. We will also be making further changes to match day to improve the environment for families. As an example – we hope to be able to announce over the summer our plans to turn the Thistle Suite into an area dedicated to Under 18’s (with specific areas for each age grade). How do I determine what my savings are by purchasing a season ticket? See the 'Season Tickets' page above to view the 2008/9 ticket pricing plan that will outline match day and season ticket prices for 2008/9 as well as your total savings made by purchasing a season. Your savings have been calculated in the following manner: (13 x match day ticket price) - season ticket price = saving made NB The match day ticket price is multiplied by 13 as this is the number of home games for 2008/9 plus the away trip to Glasgow. FACILITIESWill there be any changes to what’s available on match day in 2008/9? The only changes will be to improve what we are currently doing. The Presidents Suite will remain open to all supporters (with direct access to the main stand pre match and at half time only available to season ticket holders and corporate guests). OTHERI have a 2007/8 season ticket, but I haven't received anything about my new seat or renewing my season ticket? All 2007/8 season ticket holders should receive a letter with details of their season ticket renewal by 17 April 2008 at the latest (We have also sent an email to those whose email addresses we have). If you have not received a letter, please contact the Edinburgh Rugby office on 0131 346 5260.
