Head coach Rob Moffat and try hero Tim Visser have been giving their post-match reaction to www.edinburghrugby.org after Friday’s 24-19 win over Connacht at Murrayfield.
The result takes Edinburgh to joint fourth on points in the Magners League table ahead of next Saturday’s game against Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium (kick-off 6.30pm).
Moffat told the official Edinburgh website: “I’m pleased to get the win, and happy with the way the boys stuck to the task in difficult conditions.
“It wasn’t our best performance of the season, and there are a number of things we’ll have to improve ahead of next week, but that was a game where we could easily have slipped up and we managed to avoid that.

Of Magners Man of the Match Chris Paterson, Moffat said: “I was delighted with the way Mossy performed.
“He’s been playing some great rugby this year, and he took his try really well. To go past 700 Magners League points is testament to how impressively he has performed year-in, year-out for this club, and we’re extremely fortunate to have someone of his consistency and ability on our side.”
Visser also doled out plaudits to Paterson, while reserving praise for their fellow back-three man Jim Thompson, who set up the Dutchman’s second half score.
Visser said: “Jim did brilliantly to play me in – my part in the try was the easy bit! I thought we did fine as a unit, with Mossy in particular looking strong.
“It was good to win the game, and keep our Murrayfield run going, but there was a bit of frustration in the dressing room that we didn’t give as good a performance as we were looking for.
“I think it’s a good sign that we’re not particularly happy – we know we can be a lot better and that there’s a lot more to come from the team.
“But winning the game is always the most important thing: we’ve done that so we can be reasonably content.”
