Edinburgh assistant coach Tom Smith has taken time out from the scrum machine to give Black and Red Radio his thoughts on Friday’s crucial Magners League game against Connacht at Murrayfield (kick-off 7.05pm).

Edinburgh recorded their record tournament victory (62-13) the last time the sides clashed in EH12, but Eric Elwood’s men last week beat Samoa, Scotland’s EMC Autumn Tests opponents in Aberdeen on Saturday.

In his interview with Black and Red, Smith also discusses that game, and his pride at last week’s historic bashing of the Boks. The one-time British and Irish Lions loose-head was part of a previous Scottish success against South Africa, in 2002.
