Information: Craig Docherty was appointed CEO of ER at the start of the 2010/11 season having worked for a short spell in the commercial department at Scottish Rugby. Prior to this he had run a long established Edinburgh based retail business with his brother for over 20 years. Before this, his accounting qualification had lead him to work in Hong Kong and Australia.

He originates from Glasgow and has played first XV rugby for Stewarts Melville, GHK and MWFC. In Hong Kong he played for the Hong Kong Football Club and whilst in Sydney turned out for Mosman RFC. He has also represented Glasgow at under 21 level as well as playing for Hong Kong in the Hong Kong Sevens and the Asian games. He is an experienced coach having been involved with both Edinburgh University and Stewarts Melville.
