Lynsey was born in Dumfries and educated at Castle Douglas High School. After a year away from her studies, living as an au pair in Los Angeles, she successfully completed her degree (in Business Administration) at the Scottish College of Textiles and graduated in July 1996.
After originally moving to the capital in August 1998 to take up a role within the European & International Affairs Department at COSLA, Lynsey joined Scottish Rugby in January 2001.
Following two and a half years in her role as assistant to the Scotland / Scotland A team secretary, she joined Edinburgh Rugby as Team Co-ordinator in June 2003. With the development of this role during her first 3 season at the club, she became Team Manager in January 2006 and is now responsible for all team logistics and off-field support for every member of Edinburgh’s playing squad and management.
During her time at Edinburgh Rugby, Lynsey has also been Team Manager for Scotland A, including the championship winning IRB Nations Cup side in Romania in June 2009.
Away from rugby, Lynsey relaxes by dining out with friends, going to the movies and when time allows, looking after her sister’s dog Stan. |
